Obviously a tough night last night, especially for the defensive guys. Koberstein and Burns had some bright spots, but there's a lot to learn and improve upon. Both of them will sit out tonight as Nick Hinz will step in on the line with Zach Frye. Rookie Jack Weiss will get his first action tonight as well, paired with Josh Atkinson.
Up front, just one change as Chad Staley--a guy I was impressed with during Blue/Gold--will see his first game action of the regular season as well tonight at center. That addition will move Josh Erickson to the left wing on the line with Hajdukovich, where he was centering last night. Ryker Leer will be the only rookie skater from the lineup last night to return for game two.

Davis Jones returns between the pipes. Deservedly so, as I said in my recap last night, the junior net minder kept the game within reach.

With last night's late game results, St. Cloud and UAA will play for the championship later tonight. Both Alaska and ASU are out of the running. The Sun Devils didn't look bad last night. A bit slow, but competitive. If I didn't know any better, I would have been surprised that they were a club team last season...

Lines tonight for Alaska
